Artist Statement
I’m a painter working mainly in mixed media, acrylic, and oil. Sometimes I sculpt too. I’m inspired to create celebrations of the feminine spirit.
As a child and youth I experienced a lot of shame around being female, outspoken and curvy. These early constraints led me on a passionate journey of self-discovery which taught me a lot…
Now I know that my female energy is sacred.
Now I know that being my most full self is a gift to the world.
Now I know that all bodies are beautiful and divine.
It is from this place of deep appreciation of the feminine spirit that I paint. I celebrate all my mothers and sisters and daughters as our worth is far greater than we know.
